ABOUT ME

At the age of five, my parents packed up the family, left our home which doubled as a yoga retreat center in the heart of Portland Oregon, and bought a series of one-way tickets around the world. Moving almost yearly, I spent my childhood living anywhere from a houseboat in Northern India to a marbled floored apartment in Singapore, to a lavender farm in Provence, France.

I learned early, and out of necessity, the importance of anchoring into what connects you to others and not what separates you.

Mix this with a life’s journey into the Feminine and you have the ingredients that drive almost everything I do.

In my thirties, life took a turn. My first child was stillborn. The live birth of my daughter came with a diagnosis of PPD followed by years of infertility treatment and miscarriage as we struggled to grow our family. I plummeted into an intensely intimate relationship with my female body as I received a decade-long education in uniquely feminine experiences.

A need to find support led me to create what I craved but didn’t see – sacred space for women to have their hearts held and let their bodies be. Combining over two decades’ worth of mindfulness, spirituality, and embodiment training from pioneers in their field I began hosting women’s circles, eventually leading me to open a private practice as a shamanic healer. You can learn more about this work HERE.

Through facilitating women’s groups, as well as from my father, the novelist Karl Marlantes, I’ve witnessed first hand the power sharing stories has to heal - both yourself, and others. So, I took to the page and began telling mine. When Roe v. Wade was overturned, I decided to speak out as well.
